“The truth is the shortcut to everything”
Listening to Aaron’s songs, you won’t hear a lot of effort to sound like anyone else or to play by any particular set of rules.
Sure, it’s only natural that dashes of heroes like Lyle Lovett or Guy Clark sneak into the stew, but what you’ll mostly hear are stories being told from the perspective of man who has been there and wants to share what he learned from them.
Laundry hanging on the line, or the death of a dear friend in the passenger seat of his truck; if it’s in the song, it probably happened.
Aaron can be found driving across the United States and beyond with his rescue pals Oscar and Zeke. He Plays theaters, listening rooms, festivals and back yards... the kind of places where all the seats face the stage and folks are there to hear the songs and the stories behind them.
Nominated for Midwest CMO, Songwriter of the Year, Male vocalist of the year and Album of the year, Robert is a Singer/Songwriter, born in Iowa and honed in Nashville. He has been a music row staff writer for 3 companies over the past 15 years, and has written over 300 songs, and is currently working on his 3rd album. Over 30 of his songs have been cut by other artists. His voice can be described as blue collar smooth, yet gritty, like a fine bourbon, with a hint of gravel dust. His songwriting and delivery can be described as Chris Stapleton meets Jason Isbell, meets Vince Gill.
Hall of Fame songwriter, Hugh Prestwood ("A Song Remembers When") describes Robert as "a gifted songwriter, who mixes vivid storytelling with a powerful, soulful delivery", While HOF-er, Roger Murrah ("Don't Rock the Jukebox") says of Robert, "He's one of Nashville's best kept secrets...but not for long..."
Chicago-based singer-songwriter Pierce Crask, drawing from influences such as Townes Van Zandt, Steve Earle, John Prine, Bob Dylan, Greg Brown, and Chris Smither, has been entertaining audiences professionally as a solo performer since 1999.
